Be careful though, as I believe the rear latch is on the same fuse. Or at least something else is on that fuse...

Thanks. I did it. I no longer having doubl wings over 70 mph, however, the spoiler warning light come on. How to turn the light on easily? The only route I can think of is to remove the light bulb which looks a lot of work.

There is a procedure in the AeroKit II to do this since the spoiler is disabled. The electrical connector to the motor is disconnected. Then with a PST2 the speed signal is raised.

Tool Pants......what is PST2? I think you are talking about factory computer, right? If yes.......I have to go back to dealer to set it, correct?

Right now the rear trunk cannot be open by the remote. I guess the remote trunk release share the spoiler?

Yes, it is the computer they hook your car up to. This is all explained in the AeroKit II install instructions.

Why you you want to disable the spoiler? Do you have AeroKit II.

Yes, The spoiler and rear trunk latch are on the same circuit. I had a similar problem. Except now I do think it's hitting my decklid. Not sure why it stopped but I don't hear it anymore. One of these weekends I'll get around to removing the motor alltogether.

the light must be disabled with the PST2, or i think they have a new version out called something different, PSW or something, anyway, the light must be deactivated via the computer

this is very common procedure for when people install aerokits/etc. it should be free at any porschedealer.

I disabled my factory spoiler by unplugging the motor in the rear trunk. In order to turn off the warning light, I removed the instrument cluster and took out the bulb. Also took that opportunity to mask off and paint the gauge trim rings (though this was a lot of somewhat tedious work, they came out great).

the right way to do it is to plug it into the porsche diagnostic handheld computer and have them disable it.

this disables the spoiler and the light.

Tool pant.....Yes, I do have aerokit II.

Thanks for those reply. If the dealer charge me an arm and leg for 5 minute work, then I just unplug the motor and light bulb.

Out of curiosity, when exactly does the light come on? I ask because mine always comes on when i start the car, but before i start driving. It goes off at around 5MPH and never comes on again (even at high speeds). Not even sure if the spoiler comes up at speed on my car, although it does operate properly with the switch.

The light goes off when the car starts to move. I does not go on to tell you the spoiler is up. It is a warning light to tell you the spoiler is not up.
