To S or not to S

That's just it, it's not worth 8k more. I like rev happy motors and the 2.7 is way more rev happy than the 3.2. The 3.2 is happy never seeing more than 5k the 2.5 and 2.7b bring on the rev's baby!
In the used market though if you are buying used get an S. Once I had decided on an 03 model or newer my choice narrowed to a 2.7. I found an 03 for 46k with 15k miles on her but these cars should be broken in correctly not driven hard and put away wet.....I just wanted to put my own babied miles on her (to break in) and didn't want someone elses longevity issues etc...not to mention actually going 15k before changing the oil....Yikes!

Decisions, Decisions - get what feels right for you!!! It's true you don't hear S owner's complaining about the extra it comes with and rarely about value. On the used market the price differential is much less but the best advice I can give you is get the best example you can find....you will not regret it. Good luck!

Yep, for what we are using our Boxster for, the "S" model does not warrant the extra $8,000.00 and hopefully will keep me from racing the other "dudes" and "dudettes" when the top is down and the "comments" are flying...

Yeah, the more I research the S vs. non S, it seems like the non S is the way to go if you are concerned about price.
Even the price difference according to Edmunds in the 2000 Boxster vs. Boxster S is still $7400....
