Code P0453 & Rich Burn
Hello!
This is one of many engagements on these forums as i recently purchased a 1998 Boxster 5-Speed with 64K.
The car is running well overall and i have been trying to clear the codes and the last one i cannot solve is the Code P0453 which refers to an evaporator sensor.
From the research i have done there were suggestions to pay attention to the Fuel Pressure Sensor (I replaced) & found a yellow wire shorted (repaired) & the Gas Cap (Replaced.)
I also have record from prior owner that the fuel sending unit was cracked and repaired.
None of this has solved the check engine light. Would anyone here have insight or experience what i should tackle next? I was thinking the fuel filter could have something to do as im sure it is original. The car is also burning rich, the last few tanks of gas have gotten be about 50 miles per 1/4 tank.
