Default Faulty micro switch? Roof motor won’t stop.

Hi guys,

When engaging the open/close roof button and the clam shell go down to closed position it is pushing down the micro switch on the motor to shut of the motor/transmission.

But it seems the switch is malfunctioning so the motor keeps going for as long as I push the button.

How is the function of the switches?
During operation, does the roof stop if you push the micro switch down?

Which is the correlation between the switch behind the drivers seat and the rear switch? The “seat” switch only activates when closing the roof whereas the rear activates on both closing and opening operation.

Also if it helps the lamp for open roof is on all the time.

Thanks guys was hoping to sell the car this summer so need it fixed!

Here are a few simple tests:

1) With the top & clamshell half open, use some tape to close the clamshell switch. In this condition (control module thinks the top is fully open), the top should only close, and will not open.
2) With the top closed & clamshell still open a bit, use tape to close the clamshell switch. In this condition (control module thinks the top is fully closed), the top should only open, and will not close.

Report back.
