2000 Boxster ECU
I have a 2000 Boxster that recently got water in the alarm module under the driver’s seat (alarms going crazy, locks going crazy, windows not working, car didn’t start, etc.). The water damage didn’t look too bad on the circuit board. So we took it out and cleaned it off with alcohol and some distilled water then let it dry. Went to put it back in today and it seemed like it was mostly fixed except for the remote. The windows work, alarms aren’t going off, car starts fine, radio and horn are working, but the key fob won’t work.
Since we unhooked the battery, the trunk also won’t open until I get the key fob working. Does this mean the alarm module still isn’t working? Should I send it to the ECU repair? Any help is appreciated, thank you!
