Hey there everybody. I own a 99 boxster and I'm trying to change out the old halogen side markers to clear led ones, but the plug from the car won't accept the clip attached to the side markers. Amazon orders from China for dummies like me I suppose. Anyway, there's a black bar that runs across the plug from the car that prevents me from pushing in the new side markers. And I don't want to risk damaging anything without first asking. Any advice?

you need to remove the bulb from the old socket, plug the wire into the socket and then reconnect to the connector.
