Tried to search but got conflicting info. I have two cars here, a base boxster with black face gauges, on board computer not activated, without cruise control and a Boxster S with white face gauges, onboard computer activated, and cruise control. They are both from 2004, they both have manual transmissions, the base model has a 5-speed and the S has a six-speed. Two questions. Are these gauge clusters plug-and-play interchangeable? Also will I maintain the activated on board computer and cruise control if I replace the stalk?

I used it to swap a 996 5 gauge cluster into my 986. Also good in terms of the info you are looking for.
