Question Power steering overflow

Took off the engine cover today to have a look inside. Any way my power steering overflow just went to a 6 or 8 inch tube that basically pukes on to the drivers side cylinders. Is that the way it should be? Or should it go to another hose to get the over flow down off the engine?

It is a vent tube. Leave it alone. Jeff

thanks. Where is yours routed? mine goes from the reservoir over and sits atop the cylinders. It appears that at some point there was too much fluid and it over flowed to the top of the cylinders. Not allot but enough to coat them. I guess the real problem is too much fluid.
Thanks again for your help.
