I have a new set of fuel injectors from a 2000 (fuel rail return line) that I would like to use in my 2002 986 that does not have a fuel rail return line. Same size motor in both. Does anyone know if the 2000 injectors will work in the 2002? Considering how hard the injectors are to access, particularly on the left side, I don't want to experiment and find that the 2000 injectors are not compatible.

Use your 02 fuel rail, the injectors will work. Replace all the o-rings while you have them out. Good luck, I hope your wounds are minimal!
