Dad had a 1986 944 Turbo. He passed away in 1989. The car still sits it my heated building to this day. Probably drive it about 50 miles a year. I'm a car nut, always have been. Left the world of high technology after working 25 years or for a few Silicon Valley companies in 2010 to spend my time immersed in the world of vintage 4x4's, primarily late 70's and early 80's Land Cruisers and a few early Bronco's. I've owned about 200 of them.
The other day one of my Craigslist alerts sent me an email about 1999 Porsche Boxster with 33,540 miles that was 15 minutes from my home in Johnston, IA. The ad had been up about an hour when I called. I had to go look at it. My buddy's had one for years. Needless to say, I left with the car after sharing a bottle of red with the owner and his wife who were super nice people. So now I have a Boxster and a 944 Turbo. Both silver. I look forward to being being part of the party here at rennlist.
