Unhappy Boxster roof top arm - out of place

Hi all
Will be glad to get any advice here. The right arm that holds the roof top of my boxster 2001 went out as you can see in this photo:

Does anyone has an experience with fixing that?

Thanks!

Just to add:
  1. Do you think the issue can be solved by a new part (fastening clip maybe)? If yes, how can I order this part?
  2. See photo below. I can move the arm back, but it will go out again once I close the roof

Yes, you will need a new retaining clip, like the one shown directly above. Did you check the dealer or other sources for availability? Not sure how it came off, as they are not easy to remove when you want to. When I replaced my top motor, cables, ball sockets, etc. I found everything I needed on EBAY.

I had the same experience. The clip was nearby so I put it back on. I looked for a new clip on fleabay but couldn't find one. Will renew search as spring is coming. Will buy spares!

I didn't see a picture. Porsche wouldn't likely call that a cable clip because it doesn't clip a cable to anything.

Try this place as they have exploded single parts diagrams. Its the shizz.

I think the part you need is this. It's what I need. I'm going to order a few as they are used throughout the assembly.
