Nice burnout!

We had a different style course at Pungo today; 3 tight sweepers (one was literally a pivot cone) separated by full-throttle slaloms/chicanes.

I hate pivot cones with a passion. Great way to use that tiny site though!

They were set up like pivot cones on the course map, but we're fortunately not on a 50' wide runway and were able to set the gates and all so that they drove more like narrow-radius sweepers. Were still tighter than I like, but certainly not pivot cones.

I really hope Navy lets us back onto ACU4 soon! Here's a video from one of the autocrosses we had there a couple years ago.

Here is PCA Chicago round 2.

Course was a lot tighter than I'd like (not turbo-car friendly)... but we had help from another region due to a scheduling snafu and they were nice enough to pitch in and help by handling all the course work.

Not my finest driving by a longshot. Fun to share anyways.

Had a great time at the WDCR SCCA/Tire Rack Pro Solo event last weekend. Totally sucked on Staurday - had nothing but butterflies (probably because of the 'National Event' classification), did better on Sunday and beat some of my personal competition.

Had a great time at Tidewater Sports Car Club's time trial on the road course at Academi (formerly known as Blackwater) over the weekend. Managed to tune out the constant gunfire and occasional explosions just off course to pull out a street tire class win (1st of 27 registered- was a big class), and 2nd place overall. Was an extremely challenging track made even harder by intermittent rain and the constantly changing conditions, but I'm really happy how I did.

My best run Saturday:

My best run Sunday (reversed track):

Second funnest run of the weekend, and definitely the wettest:

My best run of 36.2 seconds. Excessive steering input is going to be fixed with the input of power steering before the next event.

yeah, not ideal, but there were a lot of challenges laying out that course...like stuff being on site that wasn't supposed to be there like an America's Cup team. They were also trying to keep speeds down to lessen the possibility of a car ending up in the bay ;-)
