Why are you autocrossing a 996 40th on 17" wheels when it came with 18" stock? Does PCA improve your index if you downsize your wheels?
As others have mentioned, if you ever desire to autox with the SCCA in the RTR stock class, I'd avoid the toyo / hankook tires as they are now illegal.

The original wording said "immediately" but that was corrected.
But, they will be 1/1/13.

LOVE the RS3s... They worked great! Now I have to work on driving them better.
FWIW I ran 38/40 cold.. they were up to 44/46 when my 5 laps (sessions at a time) were complete. No shoulder roll-over... right to the ^ on the sidewall.

Having both the RS3's and Star Specs on my previous car, I would lean towards the RS3. I turned faster times on them and they lasted longer on my RX8. That is a real buzz kill to hear about RTR not allowing them. Not to ruffle any feather's but some of the lower priced Toyo's and Hankooks have performed well, and even better than some of the so called "higher quality $$$$$" tires out there. My two cents.
