PCA-Chicago Autocross #4. Course was tight relative to some of our other courses.
My fastest pass was a 60.161 below:
My 2nd fastest pass was a 60.6x (this one with a foot cam):
What's funny is I was *stuck* at the 62.0 for 4 out of the 5 morning runs. Waiting around for my first run in the afternoon, got to talking to a fellow competitor/friend and he mentioned, "Well you left-foot-brake"... which, actually, I don't. But I figured I'd give it a try, as it seemed (based on my experience in iRacing, where I have LFB'd successfully) that there were a few spots that could benefit from a touch of braking mid-turn.
My first pass of the afternoon, with my first real attempt with LFB, took off a full second, down to a 61.0x. 2nd pass of the afternoon netted my 2nd fastest time of the day posted above (60.6x), though I only used LFB for the first lap around the course (as you can see in the video).
Next few laps were slower, and for my final lap, I set my fastest time of the day... and didn't LFB at all. So go figure, not sure if it really did anything at all. My line was definitely much tidier for my last pass though.

This if from the last Metro NY PCA event at Nassau.
My buddy with his new for him 05 EVO VIII RS joined me so here's two of our runs from the same camera angle...
I have to say that he was running on all weather tires and the car had too much suspension for these tires (springs, sway bars, bushings)

Last event of the season for PCA Chicago.
Labor Day weekend was a DE/CR event at Road America, and I had my Michelin Pilot Sport Cups mounted up on my 18's to DE. Since we do a time penalty for any tire below 140 treadwear in AX, and I didn't have time to swap my Sport Cups off for my Yoko AD-08's before the AX, I ran this AX event on my 16" phone dials... with some really old Michelin Exalto's mounted. I think I would've done better if I was running on wooden discs. Still good enough to win my class (just barely) but was way down overall (12th maybe?) Comparing my times to others I usually run with or beat, I was 2s off.
My best pass:
With the wooden discs I botched a lot of runs... this one, I decided to have a little fun after clearly blowing through the Chicago Garage complex.

Last NER Porsche event of the season. 5 AM runs were the last ones that counted for the season. Took my 5th First and FTD by .04 over a 2010 GT3RS. This is from my PM team run where I spanked the same GT3RS by over a second.

Had a great day yesterday, and took 3rd place overall (both raw and pax) at the local SCCA region. On street tires, even! I'm really not missing my r-comps, which I corded last month and am debating if I ever want to bother with them again. Helped me that 2nd heat got very wet, though, heh.
Hey, this was my 1000th post on Rennlist! :toot:

From a couple fo weeks ago PCA Autocross. Messed up a bit and ended up taking 3rd, loosing 1st place for the year by about a point to a national champ.

Autocross season's winding down now, even in Virginia Beach. Was a beautiful day today, though; sunny and in the low 70s. Was nice to finally have an event that didn't get rained on, too! We even had fun-runs afterwards

Last run of the year for me, took 3nd place, and 2nd for the year behind the current national SCCA champ. While the sun was out, it was COLD, just around 40deg.
