Default X-Post, Steering Shaft bearing loose.

Just participated in my first auto-x with the 951 today. Had a great time, car ran well and burned some rubber. However, on one of my last runs the steering colonm started clunking and I was able to move the colounm up and down a 1/2" in either direction. After taking a look I see the needle bearing or bushing (not sure which) that guides the steering shaft through the fire wall was loose and had slipped into the interior side of the car. Anyone have this happen before? How do I re-install it and keep it in place for the future?
