Sway bar settings on 991?
I liked a soft front setting and medium rear on 997 for a bit oversteery car. I’ve been in a 991 GT3 today with a hard front (with more than -2 deg camber) and medium rear and that felt just fine, to my surprise. Any thoughts on sway bar setup for 991?

On our 997.2 gt3 we used to run the front bar 3/4 soft, and ran the rear bar between middle and full stiff for street tires. As we got better at driving the car we started running the front bar in the middle and the rear bar full soft, using more trail brake to rotate the car into sweepers. Some people in solo think the key to autocross is having a huge front bar so the front end is a bag of ****, but it transitions quickly. That’s not for me, but the middle setting was a decent compromise. I can say that a tip we received early on turned out to be very accurate: if you have the rear so stiff that you have to wait to transition to full throttle, you’re giving away the car’s inherent advantage over front engine cars, and leaving time on the table. If it’s a little pushy on power, but you can let her eat, you’ll be rewarded. The balancing act for me is making sure the car is still fun to drive. Once they’re so pushy that it’s not fun, I’d rather just stay home and sleep in, so there’s that balancing. For what it’s worth we never saw huge swings in absolute performance as we cycled through the bar settings, but when the rear end is a little softer, it’s easier to be confident with your inputs, and get repeatable times. I’m guessing a tom ogorman level alien would be fine with the rear end cranked up to 11, but that’s also not us.

On my old 991 GT3 I ran front stiff and rear medium with -2.6 up front and -2.3 in the rear. I messed around for a while with med on both and the balance just wasn't there for how I like a car.

Anyone know if the front 991 GT3 bar is a direct swap for a 991 GTS? I want to soften the front a bit, and the 991.1 GTS bars are not adjustable. Getting a hair more understeer than I want, but dont want to reduce rear grip -- want to see if a softer front will help.
