Looking for a head unit
I want something with a front USB

Ability to download songs from cd. My girls grand Cherokee does this and I love it
DVD not essential
Nav would be cool but not essential either

Many OEM radios like Acura's or your girls Chrysler have hard drives built in so yes, you can rip a CD to the on board drive.
I'm not aware of any aftermarket brands that can do this.
Most will have an input for USB devices and iPods

I'm ordering one direct from Newsmy right now on Aliexpress. We've been exchanging messages for two days trying to make sure their canbus adapter works in my car. Hopefully I'll have it soon.
