Mobrige ABT2010 with CDC?
I just installed the ABT2010 in my '04 Cayenne, and I've got a couple questions.
As I understand it, installation usually requires the dealer to program something such that the unit will be recognized. In my case, the car had a pre-installed CDC, and I've read conflicting reports as to whether the stock CDC and the ABT2010 will both function simultaneously.
What I've come up with (and I may be totally off on this) is that the ABT2010 effectively replaces the CDC in the system, and the programming that the dealer does is just to enable the CDC (which is really just enabling the ABT2010). Is this correct, or am I way off? In order to get the unit to work, can I just disconnect the CDC? If so, what's the best way to do that?
