Not a JBL fan for home, but they have a great outdoor speaker, and si does Boston acoustic. I had Bose, they lacked any audio bandwidth along with corrosive connectors.

Ok, I finally got my dream pair:
I got JBL N26AWII's.
6-inch woofer with a 3/4" Titanium-laminate dome with EOS™ waveguide.
Frequency Response 55Hz – 20kHz
Crossover Point 3000Hz
Sensitivity (2.83V/1m) 88dB
These things sound very nice. They sound good inside or outside. I am very happy!!!
After reading "Cobalt" talk about JBL, I decided I needed to mention these.

I had Bose, very flat and no dynamics, and the spring loaded terminal strip corroded, and lacked low end. I then graduated to JBL and Bostons. The Boston sound the best based on the limited size. JBL's were a good deal, but were not as good sounding as the Bostons. Both JBLs and Bostons offer better terminal binding.

I just installed Polk Atrium's (whatever model w/ the 5.25" driver is) this past Spring and am pleased. There may be better sounding ones out there, but for outdoors? Really? Unless you have an enclosed patio with a roof in the countryside, I don't think it's worth spending more than a few hundred here. Even then, the acoustics of concrete, brick, and obstructions like a table and grille are considerations.
I think I got my Polks new direct on eBay for under $150 shipped. I'm smitten.

One suggestion, make sure the speaker terminals are gold. Outside the get corroded and will require you to constantly keep cleaning. Not only does the reproduction quality change, can then become dead. I have had Bose and they are terrible with cheap terminals. I currently have Upper jobs and they sound great and have gold speaker terminals, that have never required any cleaning.

Favorite (but older) WM6 B&Ws. I have two pairs that have been outside in the texas misery (south facing) for 10 years and are still doing fine.
For garden speakers, best by far are Bose - and don't say it, I have never liked bose - but they know how to build a good outdoor speaker that will last forever, puts out good base and vocals, and with 360degree output. I've been through everything at this point - speakercraft's Ruckus is ok, but virtually no engineering for the outdoors went into it, Niles didn't survive being around the pool, and OSD is pure garbage (they last about a year in the sun and water).
