In my Cayenne I listen to NFL or NASCAR XM channels 95% of the time. In my Mini Cooper which has a killer after market system I listen to mostly anything from classic rock like Van Halen, Journey, Zep to newer stuff like Nickelback, Black Label Society, and I like lots of classic reggae from Marley, Black Uruhu, Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse and R&B like Earth Wind and Fire, Prince, Cameo...to Level 42...love Mark King to Jazz like Vital Information, Tony Williams, Chick Corea, Miles, Weather Report. Coltrane and so forth.

Yep actually Steel Pulse is my favorite. I got to see them live in Charlotte NC back in 1985 too! I love Reggae music and I try to understand the lyrics too...LOL Earth Crisis was my 1st Steel Pulse...loved the horns on that album. Then I got True Democarcy and so forth. David Hines of Steel Pulse is one of my favorite reggae singer and there rhythm section was awesome.

Yes steel pulse was fantastic they are a favorite of mine also......
Another very similar band was a group name Chalice ! All 3 , Steel pulse, Third world and Chalice , ushered in that type of sound which became popular in the 80's. That style of reggae actually started with Third World in the 70's, it was "uptown" reggae and paved the way for that money machine almost reggae .. UB40 ...
Chalice stuff might be harder to find as they were not as popular as Steel pulse or Third World ....
Check out Burning spear, live at Montreux 2001......... good stuff...........

If you want sure fire driving tunes, try these CD's out:
ATB - Trilogy
Paul Van Dyke - The Politics of Dancing Vol. 2
The Crystal Method - Tweekend
Tiesto - Just Be
Paul Oakenfold - A Lively Mind
Armin Van Buuren - Imagine
BT - Escm
These guys are all pretty widely known as the players in the trance scene, and all have great tunes - even for those that don't really get "into" this kind of music.
