OK-I'll bite. Here's my 2nd system for mostly vinyl. Recent Gyrodec mated to an ASR Basis Exclusive Phono Pre. Usher 8571 DMD speakers, Conrad Johnson CT5 pre and some very trusty Audio Research Classic 120 tube/hybrid mono blocks. I also have a basic digital playback rig in there-Wadia 170i doc, Bel Canto DAC.

I have an all digital rig in the house but no pics right now-

How do you like the Bel Canto DAC? If I go in this direction I was considering one.

Its the 3.0 and I like it a lot. I did a lot of research, esp for my application. While the Wadia doc bypasses the DAC and Gain stage on the iPod, the iPod will not play back much higher than "Redbook" quality, thanks to iTunes. This makes the Bel Canto is a little overkill since it can process much higher sampling rates.
I am very happy with the overall sound of this set up as well as the storage convenience of the iPod.

Thanks-yes-it would be a great kid friendly set up-as opposed to a Rega!
