Do our mirrors fold?
Silly question but do 997.1tt mirrors fold in? They seem like they would but mine are hard to move and seem flimsy. I didn't want to force them and break one.

Manually, on my 2010 997.2, you have to fold them back towards the driver/passenger window and engage a latch that is exposed to keep them in that position. This is depicted in the online manual:

Not sure if this holds true for your model.
Fold back with one hand and hold in that position. Engage the latch with the other. Be careful with your fingers.
Best regards,
G.

I went ahead and gave this a shot. The way they fold seems very wrong and pointless. Almost as though it was an afterthought in the design of the car. I wont ever be using that "feature"

Agreed. The good news is that you won't run the risk of being maimed either.

Seriously weird info! I never knew either. They fold back wonderfully on my MB S63 automatically when I lock the car but on the 911 Turbo S, I would never need them to fold back since the car is so tiny.
I find that picture funny, the blue car in the garage with the mirrors folded back that inch or so, like that would really be needed. Ever.
