I have to agree that they aren't my favorite looking wheel, but this situation has been fortuitous and I plan on just going with it. In fact, I couldn't wait to get tires to try them out. I think they are going to look really good... My seat belts match my PCCB calipers and my stone grey interior matches my wheels... fortuitous indeed

Looks good. Should hide brake dust really well, but, then again, you have PCCBs. If you get bored with the color, PlastiDip is your friend.

Me too! Since they're not my favorite wheels I was skeptical, but I guess my skepticism has kept my expectations at bay, because I'm quite impressed myself!!
Thank you! I take a lot of pride in my garage seeing as I built it myself. It's just missing a lift or two (some cars are still parked outside), but it was designed for a four post lift so inevitably...
I'm not even on the forum that much and I know your provocations with PlastiDip.

+1 Love it-- I used to have an e39 M5 as well, love and miss that car . . . Looks like our evolution has been similar, congrats on a great find! KH

I'm impressed that you know I have an M5 just by the Style 65 wheel hanging on my wall. I'm afraid if I sell that car I'll miss it too much, so I'm keeping it. That way when I want some naturally aspirated power and that raw V8 roar I can still get my fix, because the 911 Turbo disappoints in that category.

I did it. I used Plastidip on my 997TT

I picked up some Pirelli P Zero Nero GTs in 235/30 and 305/25 20, got them mounted and put these Champion wheels on my car. The first thing I do is go run my local circuit to test out the wheels and tires. And I curbed the **** out of my driver's side rear wheel. (I'll have to write a different post on how I feel about the P Zero Nero GTs compared to the Michelin PS4S, but let's just say they are a little less predictable at the limit.) I cleaned up the curb rash and decided they needed a little color to make my boo-boo a little less obnoxiously noticeable. And I just so had a little gray can of Plastidip laying around. And my wheel center caps didn't match so I Plastidipped those too.

I've plastidipped my wheels, but not with a single can. Maybe three or four? Anyway, it's cheap, effective if applied appropriately, and easily reversible.
