Default Wheels

Need some help. Was trying to decide on some wheels for my 2011 turbo S. I love the stock crnterlines but love more wheels by champion, GMG and vorsteiner. Anyone got recs, wisdom ? Besides looks do you notice the difference in performance ? Thanks in advance. Jeff.

I would buy HREs if I were throwing money around. Wheels are pretty subjective

As the user above stated styling is very subjective but in regards to quality there is no denying that HRE is the best in the business. HRE's P101's seen below have been a longtime favorite for 911 owners. Feel free to PM me to learn more about them.

If you are looking for something different Volk make excellent wheels. I have Volk TE37SL's on my 997 turbo. While looks are subjective ( I do like the look of them), from a performance perspective they are hard to beat and weigh next to nothing

Aluminum is aluminum, the way I see stuff. Michael Angelo carved beautiful pieces out of marble. Many others did as well but only he is the most famous. Therefore, it's all subjective. He did however used the best marble. Machining is all the same on these wheels. I personally have center lock RS Spyder wheels and one of these days I hope to buy a real nice set for my car. I live in Miramar Florida so I am close to WB!

If you're going to make the switch I'd get a nice set of Gmg or champion, $$ but worth it imo. I'd steer clear of cast wheels.

Nothing wrong with cast wheels IMHO. In fact the Victor Wheels I had required less wheel weights for balance than what I have now which are the RS Spyder CL's.

Do you have more details on this car? I am curious to know what seats he has in it?

I love my GMG World Challenge GT wheels. Fitment is MUCH better than stock RS Spyder centerlocks and the wider setup make the car look so much meaner. Can't go wrong with HRE either, I had HRE's on my previous 997.1TT.

I played around with centerlock and centercap color options on my wheels. Believe it or not, the color combinations make a huge difference on how wheels look. The pic posted above on the white car are the same wheels but with gray centerlocks and silver caps. I have black centerlocks with black centercaps.

Are you lowered? Or is that look all because of the width? Looks phenomenal.

Thanks man. Yeah, I'm lowered. Can't beat the look of a lowered 997 with wider, flush wheels.
