Default Need to replace front LCA's - best options?

My front right suspension has developed a squeak, so took it in to my local OPC which resulted in them replacing the strut tops and bearings on both sides.

In pulling it apart they found split boots and a bit of play in the LCA on one side, so I'm now looking at options for replacements.

I'd be keen to get a bit more camber up front for the occasional track day, so considering Tarett GT3 or Rennline adjustable LCAs.

Keen to know if I'm potentially going overboard and should just replace with OEM, or if there are better options out there to consider.

Also if you've got a set that you want to sell, let me know.

Get the Tarret GT3 LCA's w/ a 10mm shim. Should be good for -2.0 negative camber. I am running -1.9 up front and -1.7 rear. A more aggressive alignment really sets these cars free (in the curves anyway).

Thanks for the suggestion. Have been looking at the Tarett kit, it looks good.

Tarett is a very good choice. I like that the joints are teflon coated and you can also purchase rubber boots to cover the joints to minimize exposure and enhance longevity of the Control Arms.

Hey is your car lowered? Keen to spec the right shim size - I can get -1.4 on OEM at the moment thanks to GMG lowering springs.

No, I have stock springs & struts. Other suspension mods besides LCA's are Tarett rear toe links & locking plate, TPC DSC and GT2 rear bar. Works for me as a great balance between great handling and ride comfort.

Thanks for that. Will grab 6mm + 4mm shims to be safe, should give me the range I need to get it right.

Is anyone running the Tarett Axle Spacer kit? Is the risk of CV damage a real risk, and worth investing the $300 to mitigate?

Shopping list looks like this (assuming the Axle Spacer Kit is required):

I have CL wheels that are moved out 15mm in the rear with Tarett's UCA and Elephant Racing's LCA. My Porsche Mechanic said that @ 15mm, the risk of cv damage is minimal; especially if you are not tracking the car. If you plan to track the car, then the axle kit is a good investment.

Thanks for that info. Aligns with the feedback from Tarett:

"There's no set amount that makes the spacers required. It's more relative and will also depend on the adjustment up top. If the strut mounts are maxed inward, you will be safer with more shims. I'd say that 10mm will be ok if the top mounts are close to maxed inward. It would be good to check the axle float when you're done just to be safe."

Placed an order for GT3 LCAs and 6mm+4mm shims. Went with rubber bushings - not interested in Motorsport rattle
