Default 40K mile service.

I am taking my 997.1 tt in for its 40,000 mile service. I guess I am wondering what is expected to be done at the 40K service: plugs, coils? / oil change / brake flush? How much should I expect to pay? Should I take it to the dealer or an independent? Any recommendations for a good Indy shop around Boston?

Thanks for your collective wisdom Rennlisters.

Hard to say without knowing what has been done and when. These docs might help. A lot of these items are very easy to do by yourself and could save you a lot. With the right tools, you can do everything by yourself in your garage.

I can't really help you on pricing. If you're up for sparkplugs/coils, I understand the .1 job is worse than the .2 so if you find any pricing info on .2s, i'd assume the cost for the .1 would be higher.
