Another radar detector hardwire
Escort 360, mount is the little angle piece of metal with 3M they sell on eBay for $10, smart cord is next to that radio under the dash. Considered a blendmount but didn't want to cut down visibility.
Initial impression on the drive home from the shop is that I do see the detector bouncing in my peripheral vision, hoping I get used to that or it could be annoying

I managed to mount mine higher up so that I could stick as thin piece of foam between it and the visor trim. That killed the bouncing.
Oddly I'm considering pulling the detector out of this car. With the non-electric steering I have a pretty good idea of how fast I'm going. I don't feel like I'm at as much of a risk of a ticket than in some other cars.

I can't figure out where I posted these when I did this, otherwise I'd just link that post:
It just hooks under the visor trim and gets it as high up as possible. It also avoids fastening anything to the windshield which is technically not legal in CA.
I've done this on a couple of vehicles now, and the 997 is super easy, since the whole piece can be lowered with just a couple of screws.
Of course I have a big mark where the first owner of my car had apparently glued a mount in place. On the full leather headliner. I keep wondering if I should re-cover the piece or just put a mount in place to cover the mark. Things you learn to add to the PPI check-list: Go over every bit of full leather trim. Though, other than the door sills, it's the only real mark so, meh)
