Thoughts on 2009 911 Turbo Purchase 24k Miles
Hi all - New to the forum, always wanted a 911 and looking at options. Hoping someone can help with a few questions about upgrades, DME on a 2009 911 Turbo, 6sp manual.
DME shows 1176 Ingitions Stage 1, 240 in Stage 2 and 30 ignitions in range 3. Not too concerned other than the fact it happened an hour ago. Car has 733 hours and 24k miles on it. Any thoughts?
Also, the car has some upgrades which are great but I wonder if anyone has any experience with emissions issues on state inspections with the type upgrades? I would be worried to get the car home and fail emissions inspections. Not a headache I need since I would be happy with a stock turbo. Here are the upgrades:
"upgraded with expensive HRE FF-01 Flowform wheels with TPMS sensors and Zinc wheel weights, H&R lowering springs, performance headers, cats, and mufflers, BMC Performance air filter, and tuned with a Cobb Stage 2 map."
Car is listed on the forum:

Any insight would be amazing.
Thanks!
Tom

That DME is absolutely fine and one of the cleaner 6MT ones I've seen honestly, especially with the ECU tune that probably raised the rev limiter.

They didn't provide much info on the make of the headers, exhaust etc, I'd get the specs on that - a quick search on this forum will tell you that not all aftermarket parts are created equal. They were quick to point out it has HREs but left off the brand of exhaust?
In terms of cats and emissions, I know from my car search it was not unusual to find cars with aftermarket exhaust failing emissions from time to time(shown on Carfax) - one owner told me he was burning out his hi-flow cats every so often, leading to failed emissions.
Just something to consider - looks like a nice ride otherwise.

These cars take to mods extremely well so I wouldn't worry about that as long as the parts are from a quality manufacturer.

That is one nice example. Yes, biased here as I own an 09 Turbo Cab with low mileage and plenty of goodies. Hope you work out the deal. Looks great.

Mine's better equipped, has less miles and is cheaper.

You are the one to decide here but if you could find a manual 997.2 instead, I feel that would be a better choice. I'm not a fan of light beige interiors, at all, so I can't comment on that. I'm a bit OCD and they beige mats would get trashed too fast for my taste here in Maryland. Or actually, anywhere. But if you get it, it's got a great looking exterior for sure.
