Lovely cars in RR. I'd prefer these to a PDK personally.

DME shows 1176 Ingitions Stage 1, 240 in Stage 2 and 30 ignitions in range 3. Not too concerned other than the fact it happened an hour ago. Car has 733 hours and 24k miles on it. Any thoughts?

Also, the car has some upgrades which are great but I wonder if anyone has any experience with emissions issues on state inspections with the type upgrades? I would be worried to get the car home and fail emissions inspections. Not a headache I need since I would be happy with a stock turbo. Here are the upgrades:

"upgraded with expensive HRE FF-01 Flowform wheels with TPMS sensors and Zinc wheel weights, H&R lowering springs, performance headers, cats, and mufflers, BMC Performance air filter, and tuned with a Cobb Stage 2 map."

Car is listed on the forum:

Any insight would be amazing.

Thanks!
Tom

The 2009 997 turbo is the last year of that breed. That, in and by itself, will hold the pricing on the car. This is the last year for the infamous Mezger engine, which is bullet proof and easily amenable to tuning. Many Mezger motors in the 600 -700 hp range are running around with no loss of reliability.

As pointed out earlier, the color combo is rare and some will love it while others will not. Personally, I prefer the natural leather color in a cab since it will not heat up the way that black does on a summer day.

While looking for my cab, I spent some time looking at Nick's 09 cab finished in Arena Red and black, I loved the car; though would have preferred the tan interior. But, the metallic red is extremely rare and turns heads. I didn't buy the car, since Nick and I could not agree on price; so, I ended up with an 08 for about 10k less.

But, the car you are looking at is no slouch, other than the fact that the owner has a higher asking price on the car.

IMHO, either car would be outstanding. The one you are looking at is moderately modified, while Nick's car is 100% stock. The mods may or may not pass emissions testing, depending on what state you reside in. Here in Illinois, the car would be fine. In Calif, I'm not sure. The things that I would research are the exhaust system and the cats. The tunes should not have any impact on the car being legal.

As commented earlier, the over rev report is a non issue, even though there were some stage 3 incidents in the last hour of operation.

In summary, either car would be great to own. If you are looking at resale value, you have to resolve the stock versus modified impact on resale value. This topic has been debated a lot in this and other forums.

I think the price is reasonable, you could be haggle for couple grand less but not much. 2009 is an ultimate 997.1TT with updated PCM and slight refresh interior. These cars are not floating around anymore, it is rare to find prime example with low mileage in manual.
If you want improve ride quality, monster speed, updated interior get 997.2TTS or 991TT, they are all superior to 997.1TT. Personally I like loud engine noise in the cabin, analog driving experience, and hang on to your seat every time my car reach 80-90 mph. That feeling is PRICELESS.
I've thought about upgrading to Lambo Huracan, 991TT, AMG GTS, Audi R10 V10, all of which are extremely fast car and very capable of reaching 100 mph and you wouldn't notice how fast it goes. However, it too easy and too boring for my taste. I rather keep my 997.1TT 6speed and save the cash for house renovation.

Nick is not overpriced. I just sold my 09 GR TT 6MT cab for near what he's asking and his is better equipped with less miles than mine was. The market for on 09 TT is now in the low $80K range and rising. JMO but based upon recent experience.

Car seems priced correctly. 09 TT market is strong, especially 6MT. If this car was white, I would have bought it a month ago.
