997.1 ECU 'Firmware" upgrade??
I am from Mumbai, INDIA.
I have a 997.1 Turbo TT on which i upgraded and installed a 68mm VTG Turbo.
During the process of upload the tune file, i was told that the "firmware" of the ECU is "old" and that I would need to get it updated with the dealer.
The dealer here says, that there isn't any such thing needed to be done.
As of now I cannot use the car as it is running very lean.
Has anyone encountered this kind of a problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your dealer is not the brightest? The latest version I am aware of is ver. B742 for your DME.
They should charge you very little to upload the latest version with their PIWIS Software/Tool for you.

Thank you therock88. Much appreciated... I will go to the Dealer and I will personally operate the PIWIS and see it through. Another helpful angel has sent me screenshots of the PIWIS where and how I have to go and do the needful. Thanks again.
