Clearing DME Over rev

I'd argue that it depends on the lengths someone took to do it.
Full protection from someone who has physical access and really knows what they are doing is still decades off. See the recent San Bernardino iPhone cracking. By design, and with the full strength of everything Apple could muster, that wasn't supposed to be possible, and yet it was. And as far as software and real security goes Apple is way ahead of Porsche.
I don't get the impression that it's commonplace though. In other words; the folks that could do this, would put their professional integrity on the line. Considering the areas of expertise required, the payoff here does not suggest that many, if any, would go for it. I certainly wouldn't. I like being employable (And my (CPO) car has 4 ignitions in range 4 that pre-date my ownership.).

Over the years I have definitely heard of a couple of crooks providing such services. But as stated earlier not common practice on these cars.
