Default Nikasil or Alusil?

I have done quite a bit of searching but have found conflicting info on this question...

I know the new DFI 997.2 engines in general have Alusil cylinders, but I have seen some posts that indicate the 997.2 TT's/GT's still have Nikasil. True/False?

As the owner of a 997.2 TT in a cold weather zone I am curious as I know this impacts the risk of bore scoring.

Thanks for the help!

Chris

As I understand it:

997.1 Lokasil
997.1T/GT Nikasil
997.2 Alusil (MA1.0x engines etc.)
997.2T Alusil (MA1.7x engines etc.)

So, no, 997.2 owners are not exposed to the Lokasil issue.

What's the Lokasil issue? First I've heard of that one...
