I have 5 in the 6 range, 5 in the 5 range, 42 in the 4 range and 82 in the 3 range 3XX in the 2 and 1200 in the 1 range... all were about 450 hours prior to me buying the car... it is solid and even the Porsche dealer who PPI for me said it was a great car .. over revs are something to look at, but if problems have not manifested in short time after the major over revs then there is no issue and shouldn't be a concern of anyone... this same design block, crank and pretty sure rods are in the 8000+ rpm reving GT3. if you don't have knocking issues or strange valvetrain or poor leakdown or compression tests then over revs are nothing to be concerned about if everything else is in order and the car had been maintained well.

The 997TT engine does not share the same internals as the 997GT3. Oil pump and engine case are the only two components.
