What a beauty!!
Just FYI, when I sold my Orange 997-1TT I did get a premium but more like $5K. My car also had orange coming out of its eyeballs, so clearly wasn't a car for everyone. PTS is an acquired taste. And as has been said, all it takes is one buyer.
And for those asking, MSRP on the blue car was $158,680. Lots of leather and aluminum options, LSD, and Aerokit.
FWIW it's had a depreciation of roughly 33% over the past 7 years. Not completely out of line with other 2009 turbos.

I'm trying to be rational and talk myself out of this based on the $ premium and you guys are not being entirely helpful
If I did buy it, I'd have to put it into storage until I move back to the U.S. Please tell me that would be incredibly stupid and I'll be able to find something comparable 1-2 years from now? Please?

I love the color. If it was all original and had every record I think it would of been sold already.

Congrats to the lucky owner. Well sold and well bought, IMO. I fully expect this to show up down the road and be pissed I didn't pop for it.

An old thread but relevant to something I’m looking at and wanted RL opinions.
Been looking for a unique 997 TT. Rare Color, options, low miles.
Came across this in NV. I know this car was on consignment last year at celebrity autos in NV. Then the price was a high $135k. This new price of $115k is still a big premium, but the cars MSRP was $193k.

Anyone have views on a) future collectibility of this car and b) the asking price.
Its pretty low miles.
thanks

Funny that this thread has been revived as the Riviera blue Turbo is up again for sale again at GR Auto Gallery except now they are asking $125k for it!

That car was on ebay for several months now. It has been listed with a buy it now price of $119k (and didnt sell), and they just bumped it $5k. Of course, if you cant sell at a price, then increase it. Go figure. Also, i spoke to GR Autogallery and requested a) Carfax and b) overrev report and c) pics of the original rims which they say they have. I was told by a gentleman named Corey that they had the info, and there were 'no issues' with any of the over rev / carfax reports. Since then i have never recieved the info from them. I must have tried calling 10 times and never get a response. Strange.
I googled the reviews of GR Auto gallery and funnily enough a number of people commented similar experiences when asking for 'standard' information. Anyhow, if they cant be bothered to respond to a geniune buyer on a $120k car, then that probably tells you all you need to know.
By contrast, the Bentley Dealer selling the blue TTS i posted above has been very responsive to me.

^ Yup, i noticed that as well, the price jump from $120 to $125k. Must be the method of making it appear more rare and desirable. Although looking back, I think $105k for this car was a pretty good price and back then, even that was being scoffed at as too high. I'm surprised there are no over revs, if true, as I thought the Cobb tune would have increased the limiter, resulting in more ignitions over redline.
I'm pretty sure it's the same car as they note in the ad that it was originally purchased by ECS.

I expect there are overrevs, and this is why the dealer has never sent me the report and suddenly gone very quiet in terms of responding. At least that would be my assumption as if there was nothing to hide they would send the information.

Don't get too wound up about overrevs on that one, it's a PDK so it's highly unlikely it has anything besides some ranges 1 and 2.
I'd love for a dealer to explain that pricing strategy some time, I've seen it several times before - a car sits for months at one (too-high) price, so they bump the price up out of nowhere?
