Spirited driving - low teens, long highway cruise - high teens (I also have the UMW tune). Several mpg below the stated stock specs.

Kevin,
Do you have a tune for a stock 2011 997.2 TTS? If you do, what can I expect from your tune?

I have always seen lower mpg on custom tuned cars but I also have a heavy foot. I get 13 city with my cobb custom tuned turbo. I can get close to 20 hwy.

My straight highway mileage is fine (21 ish), but around town, it uses more gas than my 700rwhp mustang. Doesn't seem to help if I drive it easy. I know kevin richens up the tune a bit for safety reasons, but damn.

thanks guys

The only time I noticed a mileage difference was when I went from a 997S to my Turbo.. haven't really noticed much of a difference between stock and tuned, but then again I don't daily this car, so I fill up maybe once every few weeks.

Would you say the uw tune is better , the same or not as good as the Cobb tune. Or is it customer service.? Very curious. As I'm getting all my ducks in a row for several purchases. I guess I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck so to speak. Thank you in advance.

City driving whether tuned or running stock with a aftermarket exhaust is within 1.5 mpg of each other. I have logged 13.2 mpg on the STOCK tune in urban driving. The GOV.org website lists 15 mpg city/urban rating for our cars.. For reference my 6.2 liter Denali gets 12.2 on the same driving urban roads.. 75 to 80mph (maybe higher) I average 18 to 22 mpg (disclaimer>I can't keep my foot out of if)

From all the driving and testing that I have done, the stock file wasn't leaps and bounds better.

Just put in a UMW tune with a Speedtech 3.0 catted exhaust. Wholly cow Batman is the car ever fast now!

Big thanks for Kevin for all the advice and taking the time to answer my questions. He is a true enthusiast of these cars and his knowledge and skill is unparalleled.

I’m not happy with my Cobb OTS and thinking of jumping ship to a different platform.

I figure my setup is good for now, but it’ll only be time before something gets added. Do you charge for multiple tunes if my setup changes down the line and let’s say my exhaust switches out or I go with a different IC setup? I would most likely purchase the unit/datalogger. Thanks.
