bgrpph - thank you, I will keep you in mind when time to sell. Honolulu traffic has gotten a lot worse lately, the clutch on the GT4 could give me a serious workout in our traffic. It was noticeable stiffer and when I get back to my TT it feels so light, but that shifter is soooo GOOD, I want one for my TT now.

I just recently came back from Honolulu and agree about the traffic. It was horrible! Awesome place though for a great holiday.

To the OP, a 911 will always be a 911. End of. I know how good the Cayman will be, but I reckon unless it's a dedicated track car there's no point.

Porsche are a very clever marketing company.

OEM SSK

That is your clutch accumulator helping most need replacing at some pt so maybe yours could just fail and not need replacing. i'm joking.

Hawaii= Porsche sucks imo for you. Not rubbing the salt - being the roads around Hawaii I could see getting into the Cayman. The turbo is great when you can get out and stretch the turbo- I'm not sure I could find that enjoyment on an island.

- Make the switch. If you can get a good number that you like on your end I don't think you'll be disappointed. Resale will not be hard. You could probably get someone on the west coast to pay you some nice cash if you wanted to get out of it. I could see many flying to you getting the car - driving on the island and shipping it as a plus.

LOVE the GT4! While I don't think I'd wanna give up the turbo for it since I plan on doing some silly drag events with it and need to the straight-line punch... I think I would have quite the crisis if I would have to make an actual decision if the opportunity would come up.

No way. GT4 is so stylistically underwhelming, especially in darker colors. I would rather have a 997.1 GT3 if I wanted a track focused car.

i have a 997TT because of the back seats and all wheel drive for year round use. GT4 is really cool but with no back seat and RWD, it is a different knife in the drawer...

If i lived somewhere where all the roads were twisty and fun i think i would take the gt4. Like west virginia or along the blue ridge parkway.

However in most other places if you dont get constant twisty fun the turbo is a better choice because as the road gets less invigorating the power makes up for it.

Based on my driving in Hawaii the turbo is a much better platform since it is a lot of slower speed cruising where you can at least get an occasional burst of acceleration.

+1.. Two very different cars, and I wouldn't even consider it until the kids are too big to fit in the back.

I've had the GT4 for a month and a half, it's got 43 miles just saying.. My 911.1TT has 20k I've put 3k on it this summer. It's too hard to pass
The TT to get into the GT4.

Roncooper- that's my ideal garage to keep my 997.1TT and add GT4, but things don't alway go our way when wife and kid factor into life.
For now, I am keeping the TT and convince wife to get rid of her C63 for GT4 and use our 2015 Civic as family hauler. Before I do that, I need to take her to a nice dinner, wine, and flowers at a nice resort with beachfront sunset views
Wish me luck guys. Worse case scenario, she say NO and we still have a good time

Roncooper- what options do you have on the GT4? What are the most important options GT4 should have? I really appreciate your opinions since you also owned 997TT, I like my GT4 in red, PCCB, LWB, and Chrono.
