Would you trade your 997.1TT for a GT4
I am very surprise that my local P-dealer offer me a new GT4, I have been saying keep my rare 997.1TT MT, PCCB, Adaptive Seats, Chrono, pristine 10k miles and add GT4 to the line up. However, wife is so upset that I want to ADD another sport car to the garage and I really don't want to get into all the arguments for just another toy. I love my 997TT and the torque rush but the GT4 is rare, I can't decide which one to keep. GT4 is newer, shifter feels much better than my TT, clutch a bit harder, but nimble and feel much much lighter than TT. I know both cars will be rare in the future but I can't stop thinking about the GT4, I have until Monday to make up my mind. What y'all think?

I think it depends on how you use your car. The GT4 looks like a great car, and if you have any plans to track the car then it's an easy decision. The novelty of the GT4 and the limited production numbers will most likely make the car appreciate in value at some point, so if you are looking for an "investment" car then the GT4 is a better choice. For me personally, the 997 turbo cabriolet is a better choice. I tend to use my car for cruises through the mountains with my wife. We love driving with the convertible top down. It's an experience that a GT4 doesn't provide.
Decide on your priorities in a sports car and the choice will become obvious.

I do not track my car in Honolulu (we sadly have no track here, but I do like to track whenever I go up to the Midwest or Vegas - rental or borrow family cars). I prolly will never have a chance to track my TT or GT4 in Hawaii, I could use the backseat for my toddler daughter and petite wife in the front. I bought the TT over the 997.1 GT3 for that purpose alone. However, I do have a family sedan C63 and 2015 Honda Civic for beach duty and grocery pick up. Wife hate the idea of having three cars belong to me while I rarely driven my TT. However, I really dig the GT4 looks and performance.

Dump the wife. Get the second car. Get a girlfriend.

If you are not able to track the GT4 then keep the turbo for sure. I have a 3 and 6 year old and I find that having the back seats gives me so many more opportunities to drive the car. My wife doesn't even mind using the turbo to haul the family around during the weekends.

^^this!
Also, as neat as the gt4 is, it isn't a 911turbo ie the top of the line 911.
The gt4 is a perfect track car for a short momentum track like limerock, but without a track?? Turbo!

You guys are the best, thanks for chime in and although I really like the GT4, I actually love my TT more. The rear seats and torque and Mezger block with MT still sound very attractive to me.
PS. Dumping the wife and get a girlfriend might be a VERY EXPENSIVE proposition, it will cost a lot more than another car toy LOL.

gotgolf52- think your making right decision keeping the 997.1TT for our poor/crowded Honolulu streets - esp with race track long gone & not apparently a future option. If you ever decide to trade your TT - send me a PM- may be interested in talking.
I smile everytime i'm in my 07 997.1 TT- even though it's a TIP- We also enjoy wife 07 Boxster S here & have a Murano SUV when it's needed.

I used to own a Cayman and when I had it I feel that the only thing lacking is the power. Now the GT4 has 385hp to me is the perfect car to have. Rarity, style, performance, you name it. The only reason I chose a 911 is because of the back seat, which I need it for my son. As some other people just mentioned I find a lot more opportunity to drive the 911 just because it has the back seats. If I don't have kid, Cayman for sure.
