First thing i did when i got my '07 997.1TT, 2.5 yrs ago was remove the Turbo badge- (did same with my '91 M5 many yrs ago)- like the clean look-

28 yr old son still doesn't understand my doing this- he loved the simple turbo badge-

I like the P O R S C H E badge on the 991 but not the script underneath it. It looks crowded to me. The worse offender is "PORSCHE 911 Carrera 4S". I don't even like rear license plate frame. If I could I would paint my four screws to match the yellow on NJ plates.

And we offer all of these, in standard polished finishes or painted.

Depending on what you want/need, the standard 997 Turbo emblem, as pictured in the previous posts, is basic, simple and does the job. Adding these 991 versions to a 997 would not be suggested.
The practical side of me thinks this would be an absolute nightmare to detail around. Even with brushes and the like for cleaning, waxing or polishing would just suck *****.

It absolutely does!
My wife's Cayenne has "Porsche Cayenne S" and you can tell that nobody ever detailed around each letter. First weekend we had it I polished as best I could around each letter.

The Turbo is known for its subtleness, changing it to a busier scheme will make it look cheap in my opinion, like saying "I don't have the latest 991 but maybe I can fool you If I use its badge".
Those who know what the car is will recognize and respect it without any badges. Those who don't, I really don't care to inform them what I'm driving anyways. This is of course, my humble subjective personal opinion, no offense to the OP.

I am inclined to agree with you guys... its been playing on my mind but i dont think it will match the look of the 997 and its true the "turbo" badge is a classic look and best not to mess with.. maybe change to a satin silver but i think im leaving it as is... the PORSCHE looked good on a carrera that I saw but it would be too busy with the wing and turbo badge on the 997. I wasnt thinking of it in the way that it would look updated etc.. I just like it on the old school 911s from the 60's and 70's .. but the more i think about it like i said it doesn't suit the 997 but does look good on the 991 but i hate how they give the model etc on them now ....

cheers guys and thanks for the input !
