Default 991 "PORSCHE" badge on tail

Hey guys,
I've seen it a few times where people have used the 991's PORSCHE badge on the tail. What are your thoughts on this on a turbo ?
I've seen it on some Carreras and it looks amazing I think.. But I have yet to see it on a turbo and on the fence about it.

Any opinions ?

Cheers !

My opinion is there's not enough room on the deck lid on a 997 turbo. Trying to fit both 'PORSCHE' and 'turbo' on the lid would cause the 'turbo' to be too close to the bottom lid edge, the 'PORSCHE' to be too close to the fold where the deck lid angles into the wing, and the 'turbo' and 'PORSCHE' would be too close together. I think it would look cramped? There's much more room on the 991 as the badges are on the rear bumper, not the deck lid.

Unless you meant removing the 'turbo' and only putting the 'PORSCHE' there.

Just "turbo" on the back is pure classic porsche.

Agreed. I didn't even want to put any lettering on my rear license plate frame, it's just matte black.

I agree with the previous comments. There's not any sports car that's more recognizable than a 911. Everybody knows it's a Porsche. Badging is overkill in my opinion.

"Turbo" is simple and iconic, everybody knows what it is, trust me! The 991 touting "porsche 911 turbo s" is a little busy as Dennis mentioned!

like it on the 997 N/A

Prefer the plain turbo badge on our cars though.

Just replaced my pewter matte one with a chrome one. Looks good except for me putting it on crooked like a slack jawed moron

This. I use to get a hard on when I saw a "turbo", before I owned one

I like the simple Turbo badge as well. I'm actually hunting one in "black chrome" to match my new exhaust tips.

As much as I wanted to get a TURBO license plate frame, I decided to order the matte finish (not chrome) Porsche OEM license plate frame since as many of you said, EVERYONE knows it's a Porsche Turbo from behind. I like a bit of stealth and I'm psyched for it to come in. Instead of getting a personalized plate or Chesapeake Bay tag, I decided to get the PCA plate like my last car. My last license plate was PCA 0420. Kids and adults alike thought I was a huge pothead or something... (420). It simply randomly came up like this...

LOVE my new car and it's TURBO S badging though...

My car came new with a Basalt Turbo emblem (same color as car). Have always been quite happy with it, I like understated.

I echo the rest... keep it simple. I hate the busy look of the 991 lineup... too cluttered (very un-Porshce like IMO).

The badges above are 996/997 variants.

This is the 991 version:

And we offer all of these, in standard polished finishes or painted.

Depending on what you want/need, the standard 997 Turbo emblem, as pictured in the previous posts, is basic, simple and does the job. Adding these 991 versions to a 997 would not be suggested.
