Is additional duct work required to channel the air that comes into the vent?

Just FYI before you start cutting, remember that the Kit sold at rennline, or anywhere else, does not match the look of the GT3 or GT2 vent. Those are actually built it onto the bumper itself. To get the same exact look, you would need to get the GT2 bumper.

No additional Ducting is required. Clips hold well from underneath....I would suggest moving it slightly closer to the hood, as the template places it too far forward...looks better close to edge of hood as opposed to farther away...I did mine myself and came out pretty good....

Good luck

You have to remove the bumper to install it.

Hi...Thanks...

Yes I removed it. Not difficult. Some have just cut it as is and popped in the vent...but I used the mesh and clips..and relocated the Homelink module, as it shows through....also sprayed a coat of black Plastidip so now you just see black/nothing when you look through the vent.

Here are some how to shots for you:

I had a gt2 bumper for sale for some time, without the upward center rad ducting found on the gt2 I do not believe the vent serves any function.

when I did a gt3 bumper install on my c2s with the correct gt3 ducting you could literally feel the heat dispersing out of the vent after a drive.

I would look into how much the gt2 ductwork costs, that said make sure it will pair with a turbo bumper

Looks like a fun peoject. In my earlier post in this thread, I mentioned ducting for the air that goes into this vent. I suppose that's technically incorrect. In the GT3 models, I believe that this vent is actually for air to escape that comes in through the center radiator opening in the bumper, and it helps to reduce front end lift at speed. Is that correct?

Rock
is your bonnet(hood) genuine CF or a wrap?
If genuine - is it Porsche or an aftermarket product (which company)?
I'm looking to do something similar to mine - tried a wrap but didn't like it so now looking at genuine CF options.

Hi...

My hood is just a wrap. I thought I would give it a try, and did it myself with some 3D carbon Fiber wrap. Was not sure I would like it, but after I did it, I liked it so left it on....can always peel off later if I chage my mind :-)

Good luck with your search...
