I feel bad that I've brought it in 3 times for this issue and don't want to be that PITA customer. If you just drove the car you'd never know, but I keep such good records with my timeslips that I can definitely tell when it's not running 100%. The reason I mention taking it to Wright Motorsport is because they installed the tune and I've been talking with the folks at GIAC and am wondering if it was a software thing. My durametric arrives today, hopefully with the pentalobe socket so I can see if the MAF is the cause. If not, I give up.
Just a thought but it could be related to a throttlebody issue. The throttle body would be effected by heat. I also think it could effect your launch if something wasn't responding correctly. Unfortunatly, the tune might make diagnosis more difficult.

Did you rerun the leak test after the clamps were touched?

Your symptoms still scream boost/vac leak.

I think the boost leak test was done before changing the 4 clamps on the IPD plenum.

Is there an easy way to check this? I have durametric data and it appears like boost is definitely down, although I admit I'm not exactly sure what all the numbers are/should be telling me. Reading posts furiously trying to get spun up.

I haven't had a compression test done and hope it's not anything related to that. I really think it's a sensor/programming issue because the car will make tons of full power, just not consistently, especially during launch. From 1/8 to 1/4 mile, it's pulling the same as always gaining approx. 26 mph, but that first 1/8th is slow, on launch, at 60', 1000', etc.
if it's bogging down low but not up top i'd check your wastegate actuators. Especially if it's inconsistent

Have a read through the attachment - it will show you where to look and how to check if the actuators are free.

Thanks for sharing that.

OP, that sucks and is weird, keep us in the loop if you find out what it is. Since you basically checked everything I'm a bit at a loss here. Good luck.

Thanks for posting, this sounds exactly like what my car is doing, and my VIN falls within the range of this issue. I'll keep this thread updated on what I find. Cheers!

Well, it looks like the turbo actuators aren't the problem so I'm back to square one. See the video below of each actuator. Thanks for the suggestion though...

If you're certain it's not a boost leak somewhere in the system, I'd run a compression check across all cylinders.

Remember to check the y-pipe connection near the throttle body also.

I recently had an aftermarket "worm clamp" clamping the Y pipe to the intake come loose during my last track event. Boxsters were flying past me while I was at 100% throttle. My car was also running rough at idle. I can only say that the car ran rough at idle while the engine was hot, I found the issue within 10 mins. reclamped the pipe and, idle was perfect.

Do you have any logs since you have durametric?

Look at the post "Help interpreting Durametric....". He has some data. Looks like he is down on boost. Would be nice to see timing as well.

Heliflyer, the service bulletin is a PNA document, any idea if there is a similar one for the uk / europe ?

Cheers,
John.
