Default Selling 997tt

Hey all, unfornately I might have to sell my 997tt. It's perfect other than the tpms sensors and the tires, they have decent tread but seem a little dry rotted.

Should I spend the money and get new tires and fix the sensors.

The car is mint other than that, I sold some other investment property and getting a mortgage these these days is a major pia.

A little more info might help - options, mileage, etc. As long as need for tires and TPM sensors is disclosed maybe let the buyer choose. GLWS.

Hats off to you for being able to park the cars in that space. FYI, parking one car facing out might be bit more convenient than your current set up

More details (photos from all sides, options list, mods, repairs, maintenance history, number of previous owners, etc) will help you sell the car.

GLWS!

For what it is worth. I am in the market but not this car, I would be turned off having that issue and would not purchase. Only reason for me is I am not all that mechanically inclined and for me I would be thinking is it really that simple of a fix.

GLWS thought I would offer my $.02 as I am a current shopper.

"Brand new tires" always get attention from buyers. I think tirerack have the sensors. You may get a discount on service if replacing tires and sensors at same time. Give them a call.

What's the issue - that it needs new tires and sensors? No big deal.

He asked my opinion. The TPMS is a bigger deal for me. Getting them installed and making sure that they work properly.

If it's no big deal then I would really recommend he fix the issue before selling so he doesn't even have to mention that one negative in his ad.

Replace the tires and sensors.

If you are selling a car that is positioned as well maintained, and in outstanding condition, the need to change tires and sensors are indicators (to me) that maybe the car is not that well maintained. I would be thinking of what else might come up in a PPI.

I agree. And another way to look at it is that the buyer will want to deduct $1500 for 4-TPMS and $3200 for 4-tires (Porsche dealer rates). Clearly you can replace them for less.

Either way, best of luck with the sale and real estate endeavors.
