DFI or Mezger...?

I plan no or moderate mods. Tune and exhaust perhaps. I was curious to know about DFI engine issues but seems like there is none. That is good news. My country has an insane car tax and newer turbos are rare. I have never seen a DFI with MT for sale. The DFI version I am negotiating right now has an extended warranty so if things go my way I will be safe untill 2020. No mods untill then I assume.
I have watched the market in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Italy with a magnifying glass for quite some time. mk1 MTs have appreciated strongly and there are not many available. A tip goes for 40-50tEUR, an MT 60+, same condition, same mileage. If I buy one from another country (2007 model) the car tax to be paid for the Finnish government will be about 30tEUR.
Pricewise it sums up like this. 2007TT (a good one) 90 to 100tEUR incl tax. 2010 DFI 120 to 130tEUR.

Its tax. And the choices are very limited here. Germany is the most popular country to look at when buying an exotic car. And when you import one, soon follows a tax slip from customs to pay.

That's brutal. I think Denmark is the same or even worse. Sorry dude.
