OEM catless exhaust?

Hi Dan,
After reading this, all I can say is be careful - the EGT's on the 997TT are extremely high and only very specialized cats will survive more than a week or two...or a couple of months. It's not like you can just put any inexpensive cat on a 997TT and build a cheap system. It won't work for long and there is an inherent risk that comes along with it.
If you want a proper X-Pipe system that has been developed to achieve a great sound, PM me and I will be glad to discuss it with you and give you a good deal. No huge Porsche tax. Although more expensive than a pieced together home project like you are describing, the majority of the cost is actually in the quality components (cats being a big one) and skilled tig welding. Not to mention, we have tested our various 997TT systems for sound attributes and can recommend the proper model to suit your taste/goals. And we have a sound guaranty. Just some food for thought.
Knowing what I know and seeing the road you are going down, I have a feeling I know how it is going to end up and I am honestly pointing this out to save you what I feel will result in a lot of aggravation and most likely disappointment in the final result. As an exhaust manufacturer, I know it takes more than one attempt to get it dialed in right and that is more time and more money when building a one off system like you describe.

You should PM Tom (eurotom). He needs a system for track. Says money is no object...
