Default 1st 997 Turbo

Traded my 2007 Z06 for a 2009 997 Turbo with 30K miles, I love the car! having never driven a 997 Turbo, I have the following question:
When I coast to stop at about 10mph, I feel a "bump" (for lack of a better description) comming from the engine bay, can someone shed some light? Thanks!

Is it a manual or Tiptronic? If it is a Tip, it will downshift as it slows and you may be feeling that?

I own a 09 997tt what are you trying to ask because there is no bump when slowing down.

There is a normal downshift but no bump associated with that.

Can you give some more details.

thanks for the replies everyone! Coasting to a stop in neutral, the "bump" feels as if going over an expansion joint, but on a smooth road.

Tip or manual?? If it's a 6 speed, you might have a failing tranny mount. Could even be a loose sway bar mount.

Ssandoval

What about under hard acceleration anything?

When slowing is it always at the same speed by chance?

Wait, I have a 997 TT and when I slam the throttle I get this smile on my face, but when I realize I'm smiling, I'm cresting 117mph. What can I do to fix this issue ?

I had a 2008 z06. I liked it but was tired of driving a manual car where I live now. Maybe if the z06 would have had hill assist feature like the new corvettes and other new cars would have kept it. I will probably pick up a c7 z06 in a couple of years but would like to keep a 911 turbo in my permanent stable.

I like my 2007 911 turbo tiptronic quite a bit. Its pretty fast even in stock form. So far have only put a bmc air filter on it. I do plan to get a Europipe 1 hopefully this year and maybe also do a tune at same time. Maybe some headers down the road as well but not going to go crazy on the mods..

Anyway enjoy your new toy.

Hi Sal,
@Ssandoval
It seems like I found your car for sale! Since the dealership owns the car, would recommend me purchasing this car, or does it have any known problems?

Thanks for your help!!
