The first weekend of April has Easter and is the start of Spring Break for some folks with kids so participation may suffer. The second weekend is PCA Festival of Speed - which might be a cool alternate place for a meetup! Although there is nowhere good to drive around Fontucky except for the track itself, or the mountains around Angeles Crest, as far as I know.

There is a local high end realtor in La Canada (I'm the Glendale hills) who does a cars and coffee type thing once a month or so. Right next to Angeles Crest. I'll try to post when I hear of the next one. Maybe a meet-up there and then a run up Angeles Crest? I'd be up for it, though in the immediate future work and my wife's surgery last week are complicating life.
I'm always up for a "spirited run" when possible, though I'm not in for a crazy dangerous run. I'm very much a "save the really fast stuff" for the track kind of guy (and have usually had one of my kids along, pulled up the rear, and took it a bit easy).
