.1 TT Owner here.

with mods (see signature)

about 42K miles on her now

zero issues with motor/drivetrain

The mezger engines are hardly over hyped. They are over-engineered, reliable, and downright sexy

35K miles and no issues with the Mezger GT1 engine. Replaced the clutch and flywheel due to sporting use by original corporate owner. Have to keep off throttle on HPDE's to let the GT3's and Corvette"s pass, as acceleration is awesome out of corners for short straights. Not set up for short tracks. We searched for over a year to find the 2009 997.1. Full asking price paid for the 911, as other Turbo buyers preempted purchase of other 997.1's. DSC electronic suspension upgrades changed the handling and comfort level of the PASM. The PCM 3.0 was a necessary upgrade, not available in previous MY's. We use the Turbo for vacations and long range touring, made possible with Porsche reliability. 4,000 mile trips are fun to drive.

Good luck with your 997.1 search.
#Twinning! lol...ok that sounded super gay...but we love our 09 Turbo. Only had it a year and a half now but awesome in every way imaginable. 2 Child seats in the back too.

When you mention your car's reliability, I feel like you should also bring up that DME report for added context.

I bought a silver 2009 tt mt cab with cocoa interior and cocoa top 2 months ago and I have put 3500 miles on it(including 750 mile ride home when I bought it). I had a 2006 C2S cab for 4 years before that. The turbo is an incredible car that does everything well. I am still debating getting DSC.
I still need to update my avatar,

I have a 7.1 with 79k miles on the clock, most of the mods listed below done at 40k miles. Tens of thousands of hits in ranges 1-2, around 5k in 3, about a grand in 4, like 11 in 5 from when the hundreds of hours ago...this car has seen hundreds of miles on the track, thousands of hard back roads, and thousands of commutes with at least a dozen stop light launches to silence some children(although I am 29 so I am probably a child to some of you?) and she still runs wonderfully!

With the 80k service I am moving to a AASCO lightweight flywheel(anyone have reviews?), ID 1300cc injectors, 5bar FPR, Numeric shifter and Numeric cables. These cars are meant to be driven hard, do that, and youll be surprised how well they run and how long they last

Oh and I have a Fidelity Platinum that's only had to be paid out for repairs due to me trying to DIY when I shouldn't have.

Great testimonial to the ruggedness of the 997.1tt.

Owned a 2008 manual Turbo Cab that I bought new. Drove it every day for 3 years and put 48K miles on it. Zero problems. Change oil, repeat.
