Default Turbo script position question

Hi gang,
My car had a 965 turbo script on it which I am replacing. I purchased a Carrara White one from BumperPlugs.com (shout out to Eric), but I'm unsure what the right positioning is.

It's pretty obvious it goes in the center from left to right, but what is the distance from the bottom edge of the deck to the bottom of the script?

Anybody got a ruler near their car and can HBO (help a brotha out )?

Thanks!

I recommend that you run your white car with emblem delete for awhile.. Try it..

I'll go in the shop and get the measurements for you.

If you get stuck and really want the emblem placed in the exact position, try a Porsche dealership. Most will have templates that will assist you in placing the emblem in the most accurate position.

Scott, here are some basics from the Porsche files:

Position the logo with the dimensions -A and C- → Dimension: 92 mm and -B- → Dimension: 36 mm-1 mm on the rear lid and stick it on.

Not 100% clear from the German manuals, but this should give you a guide to use. Don't apply emblem until you are comfortable with the location - just use a piece of painter's tape to hold the back in place with backing sheet still intact after positioning as listed.

So is dimension "b" 35mm? Why word as 36mm - 1mm?

What am I missing here, not that 1mm amounts to any big deal....

Not sure. Given how unlikely it is I can be that precise anyway using my kids ruler, I think I'll just call it close enough.

Just throwing this out... If you do decide to go with an after market decal, make sure they are the same measurements as the OEM

So to follow up (because everyone likes pictures!), I got my new script today from Eric @ bumperplugs.com and installed it.

tools I used:
* 1 Orange Do-it-best tape measure with mm markings (not pictured)
* Blue Tape
* 1 Crayon (of any color, I chose blue)

First I marked with my handy dandy crayon 35mm up from the bottom of the spoiler. Using said blue crayon mark, I then used a piece of tape to mark the bottom of the turbo script.

Second, I marked the middle of decklid and decided that the left side of the tape would indicate the center.

Then, using our handy blue crayon, we measure the length of the script and mark the center

Then line up the center on the script with the center of the car, putting it above the tape line. Press firmly, and voila!

I guess it's the distance at the edges (1mm) vs the center (36mm)?
