Bob makes a very good point. There are in fact quality products coming out of Taiwan, but the individual companies need to be vetted to understand what you are buying.

But I think what got everyone's blood pressure running regarding Fabspeed is simply the fact that they have the gall to conjecture about the quality of a competitor's product, all the while they have real quality issues with their own products (and that's regardless of "made in china" or "made in the USA").

I think the message the community is sending to Fabspeed with these threads is pretty clear, "Focus on getting your house in order and serving your customer's needs with the best quality products at the best prices you can offer."

Seriously my friend had nothing but problems after installing Fabspeed headers on his Ferrari Scuderia. A bunch of hoses/lines were fried because of the excessive heat causing tranny oil leakage and ultimately left him stranded with transmission failures.

Leo997TT you have been banned from Rennlist.

I've said this before;sharing experiences and facts is a vital part of this community and I'm proud that, on Rennlist, there's no protection or any kind of special treatment for anyone, including the site's sponsors, members and mods.

You'll struggle to find another automotive forum of this size with the same policies.

That being said, I'm afraid that you've crossed the line here.

Creating the second account as Alex to post that pic not only was in poor taste but it also violated two rules.
First, nobody can have two accounts and second and most important, Rennlist doesn't accept personal vendettas under any circumstances.

Best

This is Joe Fabiani, the president and founder of Fabspeed Motorsport USA. If you have just read this latest libelous and defamatory attack by Leo 997TT, “Fabspeed made in China”, then let me fill you in on the facts surrounding this guy “Leo 997TT”, and why he and Speed21 keep initiating these relentless tag-team attacks on me personally and my company. Rennlist readers should all note that Leo 997TT could just as easily find shipping logs on any and all aftermarket companies and generate the same shipping data. It is not incriminating under any scenario. I can personally immediately PULL & POST this data from just about any of the Rennlist sponsors/vendors and any company all over North America. The data Leo 997TT posted means absolutely nothing. In fact, it actually signifies normal intelligent and logical business practices. Every small, medium, to large company and or conglomerate purchase materials, components, subassemblies and parts from a global network of qualified, specialized, and certified suppliers. Buying globally is the norm in all industries from automotive to medical instruments to airliners like Boeing and Airbus.

Some personal background on Joe “Fab” and Fabspeed:
I have been an active member of the PCA for over 25 years, and I am married with 2 children, living in the suburbs of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I also want to mention that Fabspeed was the very first sponsor since the inception of this Rennlist forum community, as well as the previous Porsche Fans forum community. Fabspeed and I have absolutely nothing to hide, and I once again cordially invite ALL of you fellow Rennlisters and car enthusiasts to come to Fabspeed Motorsport for a factory tour and see all of our equipment, design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing processes in action. Fabspeed has numerous Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, and other car clubs over to our facility on a regular basis for tours and Q&A sessions.

Here is how all of this nonsense got started:
Speed21, who is based in Australia (avatar picture- James Bond Roger Moore in a white Tuxedo with angels halo), has been on the Rennlist forums for a long time, essentially running numerous concurrent Europipe sales-style infomercials. If you look through the 996TT/997TT/991TT subforums, you will see the threads that Speed21 starts regarding Porsche Twin Turbo exhausts and then virtually moderates his own threads and other Twin Turbo exhaust threads. He is tirelessly cajoling, promoting, and soliciting sales of Europipe exhaust systems. It’s unbelievably transparent and Speed21 has been doing this for a long, long time. He essentially claims in long-winded prose that Europipe exhaust systems are the “one and only system” that any Porsche owner should install on their Porsche. Speed21 and others deride and criticize any other aftermarket exhaust systems, in many cases without having any first-hand knowledge or experience.

Several weeks ago on the 997TT forum, several current and previous owners of both Europipe 1 and Europipe 2 mufflers stated that their Europipe exhaust systems resonated and droned. In particular, one gentlemen who had a new 997TT tried both EP1 and EP2 systems on his new 997.2TT back-to-back. He clearly stated that both EP1 and EP2 exhaust systems resonated and droned. (Technically speaking, resonance or droning is called sympathetic resonance.) Speed21 then cast speculation that the EP resonance might be a result of questionable octane gasoline quality, software tuning, possibly a bad Europipe model and yada yada. Speed21 spun the entire resonance and droning issue and then went as far as to say that maybe it was a result of the Fabspeed bolt-on exhaust tips and several other ridiculous claims. Speed21 also said “at least the Europipe drone was not as bad as other POS aftermarket exhausts like Fabspeed”.

Once Speed21 mentioned my company and I had read all the speculative nonsense, I responded in a non-combative way and I defended my company and my business processes. After that, Leo997TT and Speed21 declared war while Speed21 continued to market and create virtual infomercials for Europipe. In a recent thread on the 991TT page, Speed21 started a “991TT stock exhaust sound” consensus and he essentially stated that Porsche AG hit a home run on the 991TT stock OEM exhaust and that aftermarket systems are unnecessary. Several pages later he criticizes other aftermarket brands (without any prior knowledge) and then says, “Wait! Europipe is almost complete and ready to ship!”. He went from “nothing is needed on a 991TT, its perfect” to ridiculing 991TT aftermarket systems and then on to “Hey everyone, get in line to buy a Europipe”.

There is a forum-wide rule applying to all members that states that no one person nor entity should be allowed to promote a vendor or brand without paying dues to Internet Brands Rennlist on this and any other communities.

Speed21 has continued to ignore this rule in support of Europipe, all the while defaming and slandering the Fabspeed brand.

Now, in response to the “Fabspeed made in CHINA” new thread started by Leo 997TT:
Leo, you have defamed both me personally and my company, Fabspeed Motorsport. Your written passage is clearly libelous. Look forward to coming to Philadelphia.

I am proud to share with anyone who is curious that Fabspeed Motorsport USA proudly purchases certified quality materials, components, finished parts and sub-assemblies from all over the globe. Virtually every company, no matter what their product or industry, operates in the exact same manner. Like I said, I can and will pull reports on any other automotive aftermarket manufacturer, but I don’t see a reason to bring any one else into this. Virtually no companies are vertically integrated. That concept went out with the Industrial Revolution.

Fabspeed Motorsport USA purchases from the following countries:
Germany
Italy
Netherlands
Finland
Austria
China
Taiwan
Canada
Mexico
United Kingdom (UK)
Denmark
Finland
Hong Kong
United States
Australia
Philippines
and more…
That being said, Fabspeed Motorsport is a complete design, engineering, testing, and diversified manufacturing company. We post many explanation videos and video tours of our facility, along with design and manufacturing videos. You can cruise our website to see various production and manufacturing processes that are here on-site and that you can all come by to see and tour. You won’t find many other USA or European companies showing manufacturing videos or offering factory tours!

Here is a list of the state-of-the-art equipment that Fabspeed Motorsport uses daily and has on-site in Fort Washington, PA for contract manufacturing and manufacturing production of the Fabspeed Motorsport product line:
• CNC 5-Axis Waterjet (Flow Mach4 XD)
• CNC Mandrel Tubing Bender (Unison Breeze)
• CNC Vertical Machining Center (HAAS VF2)
• CNC Turning Center (HAAS ST-20)
• CNC Press Brake (Bystronic XPert - 150 Ton)
• CNC Plasma Cutter
• CNC Laser Engraver
• Proto-1 End-Forming Machinery
• 3D Printer (Stratasys Dimension Elite)
• Bridgeport Manual Mill
• Acer Manual Lathe
• Robotic TIG Welding Lathe
• 3D Digitizing Arm (Romer CMM 7-Axis)
DynoJet 424XLC All-Wheel-Drive Dynamometer
• Numerous laser engraving, polishing, and cutting equipment
Fabspeed’s talented dedicated craftsmen and employees build world-class exhaust systems, air intake systems, and various other performance products for a worldwide audience. Everything is thoroughly QC-tested for performance and quality. We take great pride in what we do at Fabspeed, and we work very hard to develop, manufacture, and offer the highest-performing, highest-quality parts that are available for Porsches and other exotic cars. I and the rest of the dedicated team of engineers and craftsmen here at Fabspeed Motorsport USA will not stand idly by while individuals like Leo997TT and Speed21 continue to slander and defame the effort that we all – and other companies - put forth.

Well - then you might want to take back your computer from whoever used it to "not create another account"?

Same IP was used from your previous postings - even from today (12 hours).

Careful when you call "BS" in public. You never know for sure who knows what, eh?

To 911SLOW & Bob R. - nicely done. Thank you.

Hey guys,

This thread has gone in so many different directions but I am here to post regarding one issue that needs to be addressed with me personally.

I operate with an old school style, if you are not getting responses immediately to your PM's for anything at all, (be it new parts, warranty/service, installation questions etc.) just give me 5 minutes of your time on the phone. Call directly and ask for me personally and watch how the situation progresses from there and I promise you will be pleased.

No BS, no personal attacks, no questions. So much can get lost in translation from writing on a forum. Have I made mistakes in the past and some things fell through the cracks? Sure, everyone has! I am here saying that I try to give the absolute best of my ability as a valued member of Fabspeed Motorsport to serve everyone as quickly and efficiently as possible. I monitor 4 online forums, live online chat, email sales, phone sales and walk-in sales, so please be conscious to the fact that everyone here is human and that personal attacks will not be tolerated.

All that being said, if anyone has any outstanding warranty or service issues, please call and speak with me (Evan) directly so that we can address them and make sure that everyone is happy! At the end of the day, we want everyone to be confident in their purchase and to enjoy the products that they put on their cars.

Joe if you want some credibility you have to start taking accountability for your own words. For example, please show me all the posts where "several current and previous owners of both Europipe 1 and Europipe 2 mufflers stated that their Europipe exhaust systems resonated and droned". How do you define "several"? Can you be more specific?

If you watch your own video, You clearly state personal opinion (conjecture to use your own words) and then claim they are facts. I think before you start threatening others with libel you should consider the potential legal exposure you've created for yourself with the youtube videos and posts here.

Take my comments as "customer feedback". I've purchased some of your wares in the past, but your behavior recently, be it in video or via your posts, is not "winning".

I think you are confusing me with someone else?

I don't have to "hug any nuts"?

I created and started this community in 1998. The same one from which you have now been banned several times today.

Have a nice day - and - thanks for playing!
