Power Play

I wonder if anyone has had this problem:

I have a 2012 997.2 Turbo S cab. When I raise the roof the right rear side window only goes up about half way and then stops; I need to then push the window button to raise it the rest of the way. The left rear side window raises up all the way as it should.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Normal, a legal thing.

They don't want a law suit because driver pushed the button once and passenger window closed all the way on an occupant's body part.

I have the same thing on my 997.1. On mine if I pull the roof up switch again it finishes raising the window.

Found this through a search. Is there a way to override this issue with the rear window not raising all the way?

I had the same problem with my 09 TT cab. Is there a trend?

Try to reset the window first.

Hold Switch Down 10 seconds after full down
Hold Switch Up 10 seconds after full up
Hold Switch Down 10 seconds again after full down.

Mine did this and after following the directions above it was corrected. If it does not it could be one of I believe 3 microswitches going bad.
